Social media are most popular for those aged 16-24 and 25-34, with 95% using the sites, but this figure decreases with age. Still as many as 82% of online 55-64s have an account on a social network.
Engagement in social media is quite consistent by gender: 93% of women and 92% of men have a social media account.
