iPresso Allows Companies to Handle Personal Data In Line with the GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation will impose new obligations on data processors from May 2018 on. iPresso introduces new features that will make it possible for marketers to collect and process the data in line with the GDPR.

The GDPR represents a real revolution in data protection laws across Europe. Some of the crucial rules set forth by the new regulation include the right to be forgotten, and the right to know what personal data is being collected and processed. For data processing to be lawful under the GDPR, a data subject’s consent to use their personal data has to be given by a clear affirmative action.

In response to the obligations outlined by the GDPR, iPresso introduces new features such as the Profile pages that will enable companies to inform their current and potential customers about the data that has been gathered, and provide them with the opportunity to erase or edit their personal information. Customers will also be able to withdraw their consents at any moment.

This solution will allow companies using iPresso to meet the new standards in the area of data protection by providing insight into the data to persons whose data is being processed.
